Kanibek was born on June 12, 1962, in Frunze, which is now known as Bishkek.
“After finishing my studies at school No. 6 in 1979, I enrolled in the Michurinsk State Pedagogical Institute. Then, from 1983 to 1985, I served in the Soviet Army. In 1987, I graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature at one of the universities. Since then, I have been working at the B. Beishenaliev Secondary School in the Alamedin district and continue my work there. My wife is a mathematics teacher and the deputy director for educational and upbringing work at the same school. We have a son and two daughters, all of whom have already started their own families. We also have a grandson,” Tulegenov shares.
Kanibek talked about how their family prepared for the "Best Family" competition:
“The preparation took only one week. My wife and I, both being teachers, immediately started developing the script and plan. We discussed ideas with family and colleagues. Since we all have jobs, we held rehearsals in the evenings. The children actively supported us, each contributing and coming when called. We were happy because none of the children said, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t participate.’ In the end, we took 2nd place in the competition, just one point short of 1st place. But in the 'Exemplary Family' nomination, we became winners. We showcased our strengths in various areas, especially in creativity. I think this is because our family possesses creative abilities,” he noted.
Regarding the secrets of a happy life, K. Tulegenov believes that understanding, trust, respect, a man's responsibility to his family, and a woman's support in all areas are important.
Kanibek met his wife at a pioneer camp.
“We met at the pioneer camp 'Red Carnation.' I was a counselor in one group, and she was a pioneer leader in another. After the camp ended, we met in the city, spent time in the cinema and cafes, communicated for three months, and then got married on October 12, 1989. My parents visited her family, talked to her parents, and after that, we officially registered our marriage at the registry office,” Kanibek shared.
The happiest moments in his family's life include the birth of children, their graduation and receiving diplomas, weddings, the birth of a grandson, and family vacations.
“In the future, I plan to travel to interesting places in Kyrgyzstan. I have already visited many places, but there are still many more that I need to see. My wife and I work at the school. In our youth, we loved playing volleyball; I also enjoy tennis and playing the guitar. Recently, my passion has been reading. My wife is engaged in her hobby—collecting 'Diamond Mosaic,'” Tulegenov added.
