Mukambek Alykulov, a renowned public and political figure, passed away at the age of 80, as reported by the press service of the city of Osh.
Mukambek Alykulov was born in 1945 in the village of Sovetskoye, located in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region. In 1969, he successfully graduated from the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
He began his career in 1962, working at the Engels Collective Farm in the Bazar-Korgon district. From 1963 to 1964, he worked as a miner at a mine in the city of Angren in the Uzbek SSR, and then, in 1969, he took the position of chief energy engineer at the Southern Trust of the meat and dairy industry.
From 1969 to 1970, he served in the Soviet Army. From 1971 to 1980, he held various positions at the Osh Electric Networks Enterprise, including engineer, senior engineer, and chairman of the trade union committee. From 1980 to 1984, he worked in the Osh regional committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan as an instructor, and then, from 1984 to 1987, he headed the regional committee of the trade union of power plant workers and the electrical engineering industry.
From 1987 to 1995, Alykulov was the director of the Osh Electric Networks Enterprise, and from 1995 to 1996, he served as the mayor of the city of Osh. In 1996, he again became the head of the Osh Electric Networks Enterprise.
Mukambek Kalmamotovich was awarded state honors and was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR of the 12th convocation, as well as a member of the Assembly of People's Representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh of the 1st convocation.
