Footballer from Kyrgyzstan recognized as the best player of the week in Asia
Midfielder of the national football team of Kyrgyzstan and Almaty's "Kairat," Gulzhigit Alykulov, has been recognized as the best player of the week by the Asian Football Confederation.

The Kyrgyz player received 44.39% of the votes in the poll conducted on the AFC website, topping the ranking of 10 candidates. The voting concluded on March 14.
Second place in the voting went to Zenit's forward, Serdar Azmoun, who garnered 22.42% of the votes.
Alykulov was nominated for the title of best player of the week following the Kazakhstan Super Cup 2021. In the semifinal match against "Tobol," the Kyrgyz player scored a goal and provided an assist.
