TAMGA WAS FOUND
The hero Tabyldy was wounded and stopped at the place where the ail Tamga is now located. When he recovered, he gathered brave horsemen around him. They learned horseback riding and military skills. To avoid losing their horses, they branded them. Therefore, the place where the horsemen branded their horses is called Tamga.
BIG AND SMALL DJARGYLCHEK
In small plots, the Kyrgyz sowed wheat. At that time, there were no mills. They sent one person to find a millstone. He found the lower, larger part near a big and deep bay. That place later became known as Chon-Djargylchak. The upper, smaller part of the millstone was found further along the way to the east, on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. That place later became known as Kichi Djargylchak.
