The State National Security Committee reminded about the consequences of violations in the field of electoral legislation
Employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) held a meeting with the heads of all state and municipal institutions in the Chuy region, dedicated to issues of compliance with electoral legislation.
According to the press service of the GKNB, the meeting emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the norms of election legislation, the inadmissibility of its violation, and the avoidance of interference in the electoral process.
Participants in the meeting were reminded of the necessity of a policy of neutrality, the prohibition on the use of administrative resources by candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, as well as the inadmissibility of participation in campaigning activities and other violations of electoral legislation. Each civil servant was warned about their personal responsibility for the electoral process in their territory.
“Similar events have been held by the GKNB throughout the Chuy region in city halls and district administrations, with the participation of more than 800 people, including heads of law enforcement agencies and local authorities. At these meetings, the main norms and requirements of electoral legislation were also explained,” the GKNB noted. In addition, an operational headquarters has been established for prompt response and enforcement of legislation, headed by the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Chuy region, K.S. Dzhumagaziev, which includes heads of law enforcement agencies and municipal services.
