According to information provided by the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, on October 28, all names of cafes, restaurants, and other public catering establishments in the city must be displayed in the Kyrgyz language.
The head of the municipality noted that at the moment, names written in English, Latin, Chinese, Arabic, and Uzbek can be found in Osh. Establishment owners are required to comply with the requirement to use the Kyrgyz language by November 10.

Authorities, together with the commission on state language issues, should address this problem.

Earlier, in early October, Turmush reported that cafes, restaurants, and shopping centers in Osh without their own parking lots would be forced to cease operations. This measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of both residents and visitors, as well as reducing traffic congestion on the roads. It comes into effect on November 1.

The city administration also emphasized that each public catering establishment must have its own parking area, and owners are required to organize such spaces as soon as possible.

At the session of the Osh City Council on September 10, Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev announced that cafes in the central part of the city would be disconnected from water and electricity in the absence of parking. He emphasized that restaurants must have their own parking spaces, mentioning specific establishments such as "Atabek," "Jany Door," and "Islambek." If they fail to meet this requirement, their electricity will be disconnected. According to the mayor, 2-3 cafes have already ignored warnings and did not build parking lots, which led to their disconnection from electricity.
