According to information provided by CNBC News, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, may consider leaving the company if shareholders do not approve his compensation package of nearly $1 trillion. This was reported by Robin Denholm, the chair of Tesla's board of directors.

In her address to shareholders ahead of the annual meeting scheduled for November 6, Denholm noted that Musk's absence could negatively impact the company's value. "Tesla could lose its significance if we are no longer evaluated based on our future ambitions," she emphasized.

According to her, Musk is a key figure for the company, which aims to go beyond traditional automotive manufacturing by focusing on areas such as full self-driving and robotics, particularly projects with the Optimus robot.

Shareholders are expected to make a decision on this matter no later than November 5. Approval of the compensation proposal would allow Musk to increase his stake in the company to approximately 25 percent.
