Citizens of Kyrgyzstan who have worked in a number of foreign countries have the opportunity to receive pensions under international agreements. This was reported by Nurzat Zhakieva, Deputy Head of the Public Relations Department of the Social Fund, on September 24.

According to her, Kyrgyz citizens can claim pension payments from the following countries, provided they are officially employed and have paid all necessary insurance contributions:

- Russia;
- Kazakhstan;
- Belarus;
- Turkey;
- Korea;
- Armenia.

In addition, Zhakieva noted that a contract has recently been signed with China.
According to the terms of these agreements, to receive a pension, a citizen must have worked for at least 12 months a year legally and made all mandatory contributions in accordance with the legislation of the country of employment.
