The best hotels and restaurants in Kyrgyzstan have been named.
Yesterday, December 14, in Bishkek at the restaurant "Altyn Kazyna," the award ceremony for the "Horeca Choice 2015" took place.
The "Horeca Choice 2015" award is a recognition in the restaurant and hotel business sector. It is awarded to the best hotels and catering establishments in the cities of Kyrgyzstan based on consumer ratings and expert evaluations. The finalists of the "Horeca Choice 2015" are determined by visitors to dining establishments as well as through online voting. The winners are chosen by an expert commission. It is important to note that the award is given only to local companies.
The winner in the first nomination was announced by the founder of the tourism company Kyrgyz Concept, Emil Umetaliev. He also articulated the main idea of the award.
"Professional awards indicate the development of a specific market segment. At the same time, they serve as an incentive for further development, improving service quality, and professional growth. Ultimately, the consumer benefits from this," emphasized Umetaliev.
The "Horeca Choice" award has been presented for the second consecutive year. Of course, it is still early to talk about traditions, but restaurateurs and hoteliers emphasized that, given the overall crisis, the efforts of the award organizers deserve the highest praise.
"'Horeca Choice' is an opportunity to bring industry representatives together," said the owner of the Prego restaurant, Aizhan Chynybaeva. "In normal times, it is very difficult to do this because we are all very busy people. Now, in the context of a general crisis, the hospitality industry is going through tough times. As they say, it’s not about luxury, but about survival. That makes such awards even more pleasant when companies are not just surviving but also maintaining quality standards."
By the way, the popular restaurant and hotel award "Horeca Choice 2014" allows for maximum representation of establishments in voting and the chance to win in the rankings even for small cafes and hotels that do not have a substantial marketing budget. All establishments in the city that meet the nomination formats are included in the list.

Two nominations - "Best Three-Star Hotel of the Year" and "Best Economy-Class Hotel" - went to Touristan hotel.
The best four-star hotel was recognized as Plaza Hotel.
Business Hotel of the Year became Green City Hotel.
