The legislative norms designed to ensure the peace of citizens at night are not always properly enforced. This was stated by Kamchybek Tashiev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the State Committee for National Security, in an interview with the "Region TV" channel.
He pointed out that according to current legislation, all entertainment activities, including the operation of nightclubs, cafes, and restaurants, must end by 10:00 PM. This is necessary so that residents can rest in silence from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
“Unfortunately, this requirement is not being observed. Recently, I attended a wedding that lasted until midnight, and no one intervened. A similar situation occurred at another wedding, where the celebration ended only at 11:00 PM. This clearly illustrates that the law is not being enforced. Local authorities—akims and mayors—should be held accountable for such violations,” Tashiev added.
He also expressed strict insistence to local officials, instructing them to cut off electricity in establishments that do not adhere to the operating hours.
“I want to warn local self-government bodies: now all cafes, restaurants, clubs, and other entertainment establishments are required to finish their work by 10:00 PM. If this is not done, cut off the power. By 10:10 PM, the lights in each of these establishments must be turned off. If it is necessary to clean the premises, come in the morning and do it,” he emphasized.
