On October 30, at the opening of the reconstructed facility, Deputy Prime Minister Kamchybek Tashiev announced his plans to increase the salaries of employees at the wastewater treatment plant in Manas. During a conversation with the female employees, he inquired about their housing. All responded that they owned their homes, and some of them received apartments from the State Mortgage Company last year.

After that, Tashiev clarified what their earnings were. The amounts ranged from 17,000 to 31,000 soms.

To this, the chairman of the State National Security Committee, upon hearing that one of the employees earns only 17,000, exclaimed: "17,000?! Come on, chief!"

The director of the facility noted that starting next year, salaries would be increased by 15%.

However, Tashiev disagreed with this approach: "No, that won't do! An employee earning 17,000 should receive at least 35,000 starting next year. This is mandatory! Everyone else should also see an increase. I will come myself and check next year. Mayor, you have a task — sit down tomorrow and calculate everything," he addressed Mayor Ernistbek Ormokov.
