The group stage of the AFC Challenge League has started in Bishkek
Recently, Kamchybek Tashiev, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister, as well as being the head of the State National Security Committee and the president of the Kyrgyz Football Union, attended the football match between the teams 'Muras United' and 'Regar-Tadaz' in the capital.
From October 25 to 31, Bishkek will host the group stage matches of the AFC Challenge League for the 2025–2026 season, where Kyrgyzstan will be represented by two clubs — 'Muras United' and 'Abdysh-Ata'.
The 'Muras United' team will play in Group C against opponents from Tajikistan, Lebanon, and Kuwait, with all their matches taking place at the Dölön Ömürzakov Stadium, starting at 20:00.
Here is the schedule for Group C matches:
October 25
16:00 — Safa (Lebanon) - Al-Arabi (Kuwait)
20:00 — Regar-Tadaz (Tajikistan) - Muras United (Kyrgyzstan)
October 28
16:00 — Al-Arabi (Kuwait) - Regar-Tadaz (Tajikistan)
20:00 — Muras United (Kyrgyzstan) - Safa (Lebanon)
October 31
16:00 — Regar-Tadaz (Tajikistan) - Safa (Lebanon)
20:00 — Al-Arabi (Kuwait) - Muras United (Kyrgyzstan)
Meanwhile, the 'Abdysh-Ata' club will compete in Group A in Thimphu (Bhutan), where they will face teams Altyn Asyr (Turkmenistan), Al-Shabab (Oman), and Paro (Bhutan).
A total of 20 clubs participate in the group phase of the AFC Challenge League, which are divided into Western and Eastern zones.
From the Western zone, the winners of three groups will advance to the playoffs, along with the team with the best second place based on additional indicators.
