During a conversation with local leaders, Tashiev couldn't resist making a joke about Mayor Ernistbek Ormokov, who is the only mayor in recent years who has not changed his position.
Tashiev noted: "They say I beat Ernistbek, but that's impossible, as he is an athlete himself. Nevertheless, it was just a joke."
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of the mayor's work: "He really works well, and I hope he will work even better. He has been in his position for six years now, and he is the only mayor who has not changed. I would ask him to stay in his position for another one or two years, despite his desire to move to another position. The city needs development, especially after it received its new name — Manas. This city should become an example for others in the country. We are ready to support from our side, but it is also important to use the allocated funds wisely and effectively," Tashiev added.
