Tashiev noted that Ormokov is a unique mayor in the country who has not changed during the current administration. “Some claim that I scold or even punish Ormokov. It’s a joke, of course, but he is indeed an athlete, and it’s hard to reproach him for anything. He works effectively. Since we came to power, he has remained the only mayor in his position for six years. He says he is tired, and I reply: ‘Work for a couple more years.’ Manas is progressing, and it is necessary to continue what has been started. Use budget funds wisely and for their intended purpose,” Tashiev expressed his position.

During a conversation with local residents, he emphasized the importance of monitoring the quality of the roads being built. “Human nature is such that kind words do not always work. For example, in Jalal-Abad, I called the mayor and the chairman of the city council, who were constantly quarreling. I told them: ‘Work without conflicts.’ They agreed, but the quarrels continued. The third time I was stricter and said that I wouldn’t send them to prison, but order must be restored. Since then, they have started working without violations. A person thinks: if treated kindly, everything is fine. But we need to keep working,” Tashiev noted.

Later, Mayor Ernistbek Ormokov shared his impressions of the meeting with Tashiev in an interview with KNAI “Kabar.”
According to him, all misunderstandings arose due to the allocation of 2 billion soms. “We attracted this amount during the rule of Akylbek Japarov. Several projects were developed. He came, approved some of them, and suggested refining others. As a result, the money was allocated, and the deputies were supposed to include it in our budget. But some of them opposed it,” Ormokov said.

“Some deputies said that it was impossible to utilize 2 billion soms in one year and that our projects did not meet the requirements. But we were not just going to build sidewalks or roads; we created a production facility, two hospitals, an IT academy, repaired roads, and purchased equipment. When we voiced our intentions, they responded that we wouldn’t be able to do it,” the mayor added.
Ormokov also mentioned that Tashiev, who closely monitors the work in Manas, called him for a conversation to find out what was happening. “He always sets tasks for us and monitors their implementation,” the mayor noted.

Mayor Ormokov: “No, no. We support his policies. Even if he is strict, it is done for the good of the city and the people. We understand that we may have made mistakes somewhere,” he replied.
