Speaking about Kamchy Kolbaev, Tashiev noted: "The president reached out to him, urging him to cease criminal activities. He also spoke with Matraimov. The head of state warned them of possible measures if they did not change their behavior. They responded: 'We are no longer involved in this,' but in reality, they continued."
He added that one of the ministers came to him in distress.
"He was crying because he received a video call from Kolbaev. He threatened him: 'If you don’t do such and such tomorrow, you will regret it.' The minister was so scared that he wanted to resign, but I did not allow him, telling him that he needed to continue working. That is why we were forced to act. They decided who would become a deputy, which parties would pass, who to appoint as mayor. The police and the State National Security Committee did not intimidate them; sometimes they even involved them in their affairs. I cleared the country of them! We are focused on fighting corruption, and it will not exist either," Tashiev concluded.
Recall that Kolbaev was eliminated on October 4, 2023, in his restaurant-bar Blonder Pub. The special operation to detain him began during the day, and soon rumors of his death emerged. The State Committee confirmed the information about his elimination almost at 7:00 PM.
The next day, Tashiev reported that Kolbaev had resisted, and his men opened fire on the State National Security Committee officers, which led to his elimination.
