As reported on October 29 by Tilek Sulaymanov, the head of "Yandex Kyrgyzstan," plans are underway to create between 200 and 300 parking spots for electric scooters in Bishkek.

He noted that a meeting between representatives of the city administration and scooter-sharing companies took place in mid-October. During the discussions, issues concerning the safety of individual mobility devices on sidewalks were addressed.

Sulaymanov emphasized that the apps already indicate parking spots for electric scooters, but their visual design would be quite beneficial.

Additionally, the meeting raised the issue of creating a single operator responsible for overseeing the operations of scooter-sharing companies.

According to him, "trained staff will ensure that electric scooters remain in designated areas on the sidewalks. Such an operator is already functioning in Almaty and significantly helps maintain order on the streets. For example, they prevent situations where people attempt to ride two on one scooter or leave scooters in inappropriate places." Sulaymanov added that this operator could be established by scooter-sharing companies but should be under the jurisdiction of municipal authorities.
