The general plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050 includes the creation of a modern bicycle infrastructure solution, which will feature a unified network of bike routes.
Key areas of work:
- creation of a continuous network of bike routes with a length of 152 kilometers;
- integration of the bicycle network with the urban transport system through transport interchange hubs;
- ensuring safe and comfortable conditions for cyclists and users of electric scooters and other types of micromobility;
- development of accompanying infrastructure, including parking lots, rental points, and recreation areas.
