As part of the new General Plan for the period from 2025 to 2050, the creation of tram lines with a total length of 45.1 kilometers is planned, as well as the construction of one tram depot. The project outlines two main directions for tram routes: "south - center" and "southwest - southeast," which will connect to the future bus station.
In addition to this, the creation of a bus rapid transit (BRT) system with a length of 93.4 kilometers is planned. It will service the "north - south" and "north - center" routes, connecting with major transport hubs such as bus stations and the international airport "Manas." The first lines will run along Akhunbaev Street, April 7th Street, Jibek Jolu Avenue, and Sadyrbaev Street.
Furthermore, rail public transport will operate along Abdrahmanov, Gorky, Kyiv, Masaliev, Asanaliev Streets, as well as other sections of urban streets.
