
The signed program aims to support sustainable development, reduce social inequality, and create equal opportunities for all citizens of the country. Over the next five-year period, the document will define the main areas of work for 25 UN agencies, funds, and programs that actively participate in achieving Uzbekistan's national goals.
The main areas of the new program include:
governance and the rule of law;
social protection and employment;
healthcare;
education;
environmental sustainability;
development of the Aral Sea region.
The signing ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, the Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Sodik Safoev, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Sabine Machl.
