According to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, a special tourist cluster will be developed as part of the Batken region development program.
The possibility of connecting cities in Kyrgyzstan to some tourist routes in Uzbekistan is being considered, said the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seyitov at a briefing at the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan press center.
He noted that the credit funds allocated for the development of the Batken region will also be directed towards tourism development.
“A tourist cluster will be created. We are currently considering the possibility… There is a tourist route in Uzbekistan that covers Samarkand and Bukhara. We would like to connect to this route and include the cities of the Fergana Valley: Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, and Razakov. The life in these cities is very interesting. We want tourists to see our region, taste our fruits and vegetables, breathe our air, and see the recreational areas of the Batken region,” Seyitov said.
