At the meeting, Munkhtushig expressed confidence that Mongolia would actively participate in regional initiatives carried out by UN ESCAP. He also noted the country's readiness to share its experience and knowledge in the field of transit transportation and digital infrastructure with other states in the region.
The Secretary of State emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with UN ESCAP to achieve common goals in regional development.
Hirohito Toda, for his part, highly appreciated Mongolia's active involvement in regional initiatives and confirmed UN ESCAP's readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in organizing the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, scheduled for 2026 in Ulaanbaatar.
