In Uzbekistan, there are plans to abolish criminal records for minors who have already served their sentences, reports the newspaper Birzha.

However, this rule will not apply to individuals who have committed particularly serious, intentional, or repeat offenses.

Additionally, the new document proposes reducing the minimum sentences for minors: restrictions on freedom and imprisonment can be imposed for as little as one month, whereas previously the minimum term was six months.

According to available information, these changes are aimed at humanizing criminal legislation and facilitating the social rehabilitation of adolescents who have committed offenses.
