A train to Issyk-Kul will be launched in Uzbekistan

A tourist train on the route Tashkent-Rybachye (Issyk-Kul Lake) will start operating from August 16 on Sundays at 13:27. The travel time will be just under a day.

To get from the scorching Tashkent to the resorts on the shores of the amazing Issyk-Kul, it takes no less than a day. If traveling by bus, 5-6 hours must be spent on border and customs control. However, on the train, everything happens inside the moving carriage, without the stress and loss of time.

Passengers travel in comfortable air-conditioned carriages with a restaurant. Even after the tourist season ends, the train will continue to run to Bishkek and back.

The new tourist train number 451/452 on the Tashkent-Rybachye (Issyk-Kul) route departs from Tashkent on August 16, 23, and 30 on Sundays at 13:27, arriving in Rybachye on August 17, 24, and 31 on Mondays at 12:44.

Departure time from Rybachye is August 18, 25, and September 1 on Tuesdays at 02:55, arriving in Tashkent on August 19, 26, and September 2 at 07:43, as reported on the website of Uzbekistan Railways.

The train consists of sleeper carriages and restaurant cars. The ticket price is 232,000 sums.

It was previously reported that in the summer of 2009, a tourist train was launched on the Tashkent-Balykchy-Tashkent route, which operated weekly. The train had a capacity of about 350 seats. The trip from Tashkent took 24 hours, and all compartments were comfortable and equipped with air conditioning. However, later, due to unprofitability, this route was canceled.
