Since the beginning of the year, more than 1150 km of roads have been asphalted

In his congratulatory speech on the occasion of the Day of Workers of Automobile Transport and Road Economy, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, announced that since the beginning of 2025, more than 1150 kilometers of roads have been asphalted.

Kasymaliev noted that thanks to the efforts of road workers, thousands of kilometers of new roads are built annually in the country. In the past year, 2024, 802 kilometers were asphalted, and this figure has significantly increased in the current year.

Since 2021, more than 101.7 billion soms have been allocated for the development of road infrastructure. Over the past five years, more than 3,048 kilometers of roads have been built, of which 2,453 kilometers are asphalted. Among them are strategically important routes, such as the road through Cholpon-Ata, which has already been put into operation, and the Osh – Batken – Razakov corridor, the construction of which is nearing completion. The construction of the Barskoon – Bedel road, which has high transit potential, has also begun.

The Chairman of the Cabinet added that in order to improve the technical base of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the country, 750 units of special equipment have been purchased in recent years, and in 2026, it is planned to purchase another 484 units.

“These indicators demonstrate the stable development of our industry. The projects being implemented represent some of the most significant achievements in improving the road infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan,” concluded Kasymaliev.
