This information was announced on October 6 by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, during his working visit to the city.
According to him, the funding will come from the President's Stabilization Fund.
“The President emphasized the importance of significant investments for the comprehensive development of Balykchy. Before the trip, he decided to allocate 500 million soms for the city. These funds will be directed from the Stabilization Fund and will arrive next week, after which local authorities will be able to start implementing the planned projects. This will be the first stage of assistance,” Tashiev noted.
He also added that as part of the second stage, planned for spring, likely in March, an additional 1 billion soms will be allocated to Balykchy. Such support for the city is a precedent.
“We aim to develop the infrastructure of Balykchy, located at the gates of Issyk-Kul, and make it comfortable for living,” he concluded.
