Today, a meeting of the Ministry of Energy took place in Bishkek, where the results of the energy companies' work for the first nine months of 2025 were summarized.
According to the provided data, the total electricity consumption in the country amounted to 13.8 billion kWh, while domestic electricity production reached 11.3 billion kWh.
The production structure of electricity is as follows:
- Large hydropower plants — 9.7 billion kWh;
- Small hydropower plants — 0.18 billion kWh;
- Mini-hydropower plants — 0.16 billion kWh;
- Thermal power plants — 1.3 billion kWh;
- Solar power plants — 0.7 million kWh.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the Ministry of Energy is actively continuing its work to increase the share of local electricity production, as well as to develop small and renewable energy and modernize existing energy facilities in the country.
