The launch of two of these HPPs is planned by the end of 2025, while the third is expected to start operating in the first half of 2026. These projects will significantly help meet the district's electricity needs.
The new HPPs are located in the village of Töş-Bulak, which is part of the Sary-Özön rural district.
In February 2024, the district akim Iliyas Tashkulov informed Turmush that the construction of the small HPP "Sokuluk HPP-1" is ongoing in the village of Töş-Bulak. The expected capacity of this station will be 3.5 megawatts, and the project cost is about 5-6 million dollars.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the Limited Liability Company "Sokuluk HPP-1" was re-registered on April 15, 2025. The main activity is electricity production at hydropower plants. General Director: Zhaanbaev Ulanbek Abdisattarovich. Founders: "NK GROUP" and the closed joint-stock company "Centum".
On the southern side of the village of Chetindi, the construction of small HPP-3 (LLC "IMPEX TRADE") is planned with an expected capacity of 6 megawatts and investments of 18 million dollars.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the Limited Liability Company "IMPEX TRADE" was re-registered on November 22, 2022. General Director: Chiltenov Nursultan Ryspekovich. The main activity is electricity production at hydropower plants. Founder: Burkanov Azat Arzybekovich.
Another small HPP with a capacity of 4 megawatts is being built on the Tuyuk site by the company "Hydro Energy Invest," with investments of 4 million dollars.

It was also planned to build an HPP called HPP-Tuyuk on the Tuyuk site with a capacity of 4 megawatts and investments of 4 million dollars.
