In 2023, 3,929 tons of fruits were harvested from an area of 801 hectares, while in 2024 this figure rose to 4,839 tons from 1,058 hectares, as stated in the report.
The growth of citrus production in the country has been observed for several years.Additionally, the ministry reported that the livestock sector is also showing positive trends. In the first nine months of 2025, meat production increased by 103%, milk by 102.7%, and eggs by 106.4%.
According to the ministry, the republic fully provides the population with six out of nine staple food products, and work is ongoing to improve the supply of the remaining three.
