In Kyrgyzstan, the cultivation of oranges, tangerines, and kumquats has increased.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has reported a significant increase in citrus production in the country. In particular, in recent years, mandarins, oranges, lemons, and kumquats have become popular.

Thus, in 2023, 3,929 tons of citrus were harvested from an area of 801 hectares, while in 2024, the yield already reached 4,839 tons from an expanded area of 1,058 hectares.

Moreover, in the first nine months of 2025, there has been an increase in meat production by 103%, milk by 102.7%, and eggs by 106.4%.

According to experts, the republic fully provides its population with six out of nine basic food products, while work continues to ensure the remaining three types.
