As part of the autumn greening campaign, more than 500 trees were planted in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
The mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, participated in this ecological action along with his deputies.
Birches, thujas, maples, and oaks were planted on the grounds of secondary school No. 102 and along Baytik Baatyr Street, from Akhunbaev Street to Jantošev Street on the west side.
The mayor symbolically tied ribbons on the new trees and emphasized the importance of caring for green spaces.
He noted that greening the capital is not a one-time event but a continuous process that requires regular attention. The mayor instructed the responsible services to monitor the watering and care of the planted trees.

“Planting a tree is just the beginning. The main thing is to preserve it, take care of it, and protect it. Only then can we make Bishkek truly green and comfortable,” said Aibek Junushaliev.
According to the municipality, over 6,500 trees have already been planted in Bishkek this autumn season. Greening efforts are ongoing, and by the end of the year, the total number of new plantings is expected to exceed 15,000. Next spring, in 2025, it is planned to plant another 7,824 trees.
