Two thousand birches were planted in Chon-Kemin as part of the 'Zhashyl Muras' campaign
As part of the National campaign "Zhashyl Muras," a significant tree planting event took place in Chon-Kemin. According to reports from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, the event was held in the territory of the state natural park "Chon-Kemin."

On an area of four hectares in the Kichi-Kemin forest plot, 2000 birch saplings were planted. The planting was attended by the Minister of Natural Resources Melis Mashiev, the Director of the Agency for Development and Investments Marat Naspekov, as well as about 200 employees from various agencies.

The tree planting was timed to coincide with the Snow Leopard Day, celebrated on October 23. The snow leopard is a symbol of the vulnerability of mountain ecosystems, and there are 11 individuals of this rare species living in the "Chon-Kemin" park.

Minister Mashiev emphasized that the main goal of the "Zhashyl Muras" campaign is to expand the green zones of the country and create a sustainable ecological environment for future generations.

According to the ministry's data, in 2025, as part of the program, it is planned to plant more than 8 million 300 thousand saplings across the republic.
