The national campaign "Zhasyl Muras," organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with the Agency for Community Development and Investment, led to a tree planting event in the Chon-Kemin State Natural Park.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, within the framework of the campaign, 2,000 young birch trees were planted over an area of 4 hectares in the Kichi-Kemin forest area. The event was attended by Minister Meder Mashiev, Agency Director Mars Naspekov, and about 200 employees from various government agencies.

The tree planting was organized in connection with Snow Leopard Day, which is celebrated on October 23. Currently, there are 11 snow leopards living in the Chon-Kemin State Natural Park.

Minister of Natural Resources Meder Mashiev noted that the main goal of the "Zhasyl Muras" campaign is to increase green areas across the country and create a healthy ecological environment for future generations. In 2025, more than 8.3 million seedlings were planted across the republic as part of this program.
