As part of the National campaign "Zhashyl Muras," a large-scale tree planting event took place in Chon-Kemin. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, the event was held in the territory of the state natural park "Chon-Kemin."

On an area of 4 hectares of the Kichi-Kemin forest section, 2,000 birch saplings were planted. The event was attended by the Minister of Natural Resources Meder Mashiev, the Director of the Agency for Community Development and Investment Mars Naspekov, as well as about 200 employees from various agencies.

The tree planting was timed to coincide with the Snow Leopard Day, which is celebrated annually on October 23. This rare predator symbolizes the fragile balance of mountain ecosystems, and currently, 11 snow leopards inhabit the "Chon-Kemin" park.

Minister Meder Mashiev emphasized that the main goal of the "Zhashyl Muras" campaign is to expand the green zones of the country and create a sustainable ecological environment for future generations. According to the ministry, by 2025, the program plans to plant more than 8.3 million saplings throughout the republic.
