Experts from the Research Institute of Strategic Planning (St. Petersburg, Russia) participated in the event, as well as representatives from the Bishkek City Hall, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services, the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture, the Union of Architects of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Institute of Strategic Initiatives under the President, and the Association of Transporters and Designers.
As part of the forum, a foresight session was held, during which the "Draft Master Plan for the City of Bishkek 2050" was discussed. Participants reviewed forecasts for the sustainable development of the capital of Kyrgyzstan until 2050 and presented several developed sections of urban planning documentation, including:
• A baseline plan (current state), master plan, and monitoring of current city issues;
• Project proposals for the master plan of Bishkek – architectural and urban planning ideas, as well as proposals for territorial and spatial development until 2050.
During the discussion, various aspects were addressed, such as historical and cultural, social, ecological, and economic issues, problems of transport infrastructure and engineering networks, housing conditions, as well as the creation of spaces for work, recreation, and sports. Participants, including leading scientists, architects, and engineers from design and survey organizations, contributed their suggestions on the main directions for territorial, architectural, and comprehensive development of the city of Bishkek and its suburbs.
As a result of the meeting, recommendations were prepared for the further development of the master plan for the city of Bishkek, aimed at ensuring a sustainable forecast for the development of the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
