Representatives from the city administration, experts, activists, and other interested parties are participating in the discussion.
The master plan project was developed by the city administration in collaboration with a research institute from St. Petersburg.
Bishkek's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, noted that data on urban planning, socio-economic development, and the demographic situation had been collected during the work process.
“Collaboration with a Japanese company, which developed the urban development concept, began back in May 2024, before the agreement was signed with the research institute. We created a special website dedicated to the master plan of the city of Bishkek. On October 25, 2025, the project will be presented for public discussion. Hearings are scheduled for December 24-25. We have already received over 200 proposals and comments. Considering all social networks and other channels, there have been about 10,000 responses. We also took into account the opinions of experts and urban planners. We paid close attention to all the comments left on social media. The city administration is open to dialogue,” the mayor added.
