Today in Bishkek, an expert meeting is taking place dedicated to the city’s master plan for development until 2050. The discussion includes urbanists, ecologists, and active citizens.

Architect and activist Ertai Iskakov, one of the participants in the event, raised the issue of the possibility of implementing two-level roads in the capital. He shared his impressions from a trip to Malaysia, where he saw the successful implementation of such a transportation system.

Iskakov noted: "In Kuala Lumpur, where 1.9 million people live, there are no traffic jams. Is it possible to implement a similar project in Bishkek?"

The response from Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov was that the master plan includes the development of transport infrastructure and areas for the construction and expansion of roads, although specific types of roads are not outlined. Nevertheless, Kadyrov added that the city hall is open to various options, and in the future, two-level roads could indeed be built at the city’s entrance.
