According to him, such artificial irregularities are installed in the following cases:
- near schools and educational institutions;
- at the intersection of equal streets;
- in potentially hazardous areas of roads.
“Before installation, it is necessary to coordinate with city services. If there are no speed bumps near educational institutions, administrations can contact us or the Traffic Safety Department. A commission is formed, including representatives from the municipality, the Traffic Safety Department, the Department of Transport, and the Municipal Enterprise 'Bishkekasfaltservice,' which goes to the site and makes a decision. We will install such restrictions in necessary places, but in other cases, it would be inappropriate,” noted Osmonaliev.
During the broadcast, a question arose about the condition of the roads in the new settlements that were annexed to Bishkek after the administrative-territorial reform.
“The capital repair of streets in the city is carried out not only by our department but also by municipal administrations, the Municipal Enterprise 'Bishkekasfaltservice,' and the Ministry of Transport. For example, work is being done on Jibek Jolu Avenue and the northern bypass road. In the new areas annexed to the capital, the majority of the capital repairs are carried out by 'Bishkekasfaltservice,'” the official added.
