Artur Omurzakov, the chief engineer of the second bus fleet of the municipal enterprise "Bishkek City Transport," shared information about the reasons for evening bus delays during a broadcast on Birinchi Radio. According to him, a movement interval of 10-15 minutes is considered the norm, taking into account the heavy traffic in Bishkek.
“Buses cannot ignore traffic jams on the road, as they are part of the overall flow. We carefully analyze the routes, and if complaints about a lack of buses in the evening come in, we try to increase the number of units on the line,” Omurzakov said.
He added that the process of buses leaving and returning to the depot is carried out under strict control.
“A driver does not have the right to leave work without a valid reason. If a bus returns to the depot, its technical condition and the driver's condition are checked. Although personal circumstances sometimes arise, disciplinary measures are provided for absence without a valid reason,” the engineer clarified.
According to the enterprise, employees continue to analyze passenger flows and adjust the work schedule to ensure stable operation of public transport in the evening.
