The Przhevalsky bus station was built in 1953. The bus station stood in the place of a small park in the center of the city of Przhevalsk. It was demolished in 1988.

Information note: Bus. Buses first appeared in Frunze in 1934. 15-seat buses operated from the cold storage plant to the city council. In 1938, 13 buses ran on two routes, covering a distance of 30 km.

Road transport plays an important role. A dense network of roads has been built, a significant part of which is paved. The Chuy Valley is crossed by highways leading from Frunze to Rybachye, as well as to regional centers — Przhevalsk, Naryn, Osh (through the Kyrgyz Ala-Too and Suusamyr Valley), to Talas (through Dzhambul) and further to Tashkent; to Almaty.

The Issyk-Kul road ring, approximately 450 km long, is suitable for year-round travel. The road is paved, and about 80% of the region's populated areas are concentrated along it. From the main ring road, roads branch off to the coal deposit of Dzhyrgalan, to the high mountain pastures of the Jetiyoguz ridges (up to the village of Ak-Shiyrak), to the valleys of the Karkyra and Ili rivers (to Almaty), to the ridges in the basin of the Sary-Jaz River, to the upper reaches of the Naryn River, and to the Ton ridges, from Rybachye to Naryn, etc.
