In Bishkek, the issue of defects on repaired roads is being studied. The chief specialist of the capital's Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure, Azamat Osmonaliev, spoke about this on the air of "Birinchi Radio".

According to him, recently experts from Kazakhstan (the city of Almaty) and Russia, as well as representatives of contracting organizations, gathered at a round table.

“During the discussion of the causes of road defects appearing in the summer period, various options were proposed. Among them, outdated construction norms and regulations (SNiP) and GOSTs were mentioned, which determine the composition of asphalt concrete and the quality of bitumen. We are in the process of searching for solutions together with our colleagues from Russia and Kazakhstan. It may be necessary to increase the thickness of the asphalt or change the composition of the bitumen,” Osmonaliev noted.

He also added that the intensity of traffic on the streets of Bishkek has increased, and buses with passengers often have to stop, which leads to wear on the pavement at stops and in front of traffic lights, causing the formation of ruts.

It was previously reported that "waves" had formed on the road at the intersection of Jibek Jolu Avenue and Lermontov Street.
