According to the developers, 60% of the city's territorial resources are in private ownership. This information was announced at an expert discussion of the general plan, taking place today, December 2, in Bishkek.

Experts from the Research Institute of St. Petersburg presented the results of an analysis of the housing stock in the capital, based on current data.

The total volume of the housing stock in Bishkek is 18.5 million square meters, while the city's population is approximately 1.3 million people. Thus, there are about 14 square meters per citizen, which is quite a limited area.

In recent years, the volume of housing construction has increased from 30,000 square meters per year to approximately 300,000; however, this has occurred without considering the transportation system and social institutions, exacerbating existing problems. As a result, some educational institutions conduct classes in five shifts.
