Starting from December 1, Bishkek will begin receiving electricity from the waste processing plant, as announced by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev.

He noted that according to the new General Plan, the construction of high-rise buildings is planned in the capital. In this regard, new residential complexes are being connected to existing engineering networks, which may significantly increase the demand for electricity in the future.

“Residents should be mindful of their electricity consumption. As part of the measures taken, the city has opportunities to optimize its use. However, the main solution to the problem is to create conditions for electricity generation, which is important not only for Bishkek but for the entire country,” he emphasized.

According to Junushaliev, the plant will start supplying the first electricity on December 1. “However, we will still need additional capacity to cover peak loads,” added the mayor of the capital.
