According to a letter received from JSC "NESC" on October 14, measures are being taken to reduce electricity consumption in order to ensure the stable operation of the energy system and its equipment.
In this context, the company urges residents to take the following actions to optimize electricity usage:
- turn off electrical appliances and lights when not in use;
- use energy-saving bulbs;
- prefer energy-efficient household appliances;
- unplug devices at night and when leaving the house;
- remove chargers from outlets when they are not needed.
It is important to note that even when turned off, devices that are plugged into the electrical network continue to consume electricity. Additionally, residents should:
- check the tightness of windows and doors;
- avoid using electricity for heating and heating water in homes with central or gas heating.
It is recommended to take measures to reduce electricity consumption during peak load hours, which are set from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
The energy company strongly urges users to avoid using high-energy-consuming appliances during these hours, which include:
- electric ovens and stoves (up to 4-8 kilowatts per hour and 2-5 kilowatts respectively);
- heaters and air conditioners (1.2-3.3 kilowatts per hour);
- boilers (1.5-3 kilowatts);
- washing machines (up to 2 kilowatts per cycle, power up to 2.3 kilowatts);
- dryers (up to 3-5 kilowatts per cycle).
Adhering to these recommendations will help reduce the load on the energy system during peak consumption hours and ensure more stable electricity supply for all categories of users.
