In the capital, the first stage of the delivery of solid household waste (SHW) to the new waste processing plant has taken place.

High-ranking officials such as the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Mashiev, and the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, participated in the launch ceremony.

As part of the pilot project, 17 units of special equipment made one trip each, delivering 126 tons of SHW. Once the volume reaches 1,000 tons, the waste disposal process will begin, allowing for the generation of electricity.

Mayor Aibek Junushaliev also inspected the site, familiarizing himself with the progress of construction and commissioning work.

The construction of the plant is in its final stages, with its opening scheduled for December 26, 2025.

The project is being implemented under a framework agreement signed by the Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev and the General Director of Junxin Company, Dai Daoguo, in November 2023. On March 29, 2024, a "time capsule" was laid at the site with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The investment project was approved based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 113 dated March 28, 2024, with a total investment amount of 95 million US dollars.
