As part of this document, it is planned to use specialized equipment and divers to clean hard-to-reach areas of the beaches and the underwater space in Lake Issyk-Kul. The main focus will be on removing trash left by vacationers, including food remnants, plastic dishes, and bottles.
The draft establishes the responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the beaches with the owners or tenants of recreational facilities, as well as with economic entities, regardless of their organizational and legal form.
According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources, over the past few years, more than 70 tons of waste have been extracted from the bottom of Issyk-Kul, including 70,000 meters of fishing nets. Approximately 250 kilometers of the coastline have also been cleaned.
The Ministry emphasizes that to effectively utilize the recreational potential of Lake Issyk-Kul, it is necessary to focus on the cleanliness of the biosphere zone and its attractiveness for tourists.
According to the project, the costs for the acquisition and maintenance of specialized equipment will be borne by the owners or tenants of recreational facilities. They will be encouraged to form associations for the joint purchase of the necessary equipment, as well as to hire divers or include them in their staff for cleaning the adjacent areas of the lake's bottom.
All expenses related to the deep cleaning of the beaches, including costs for equipment, materials, labor of specialists, as well as training and safety measures, will be covered by the owners or tenants of recreational facilities.
