Damage to Kyrgyzstan's Nature: Nearly 103 Million Som for Nine Months of 2025

According to information provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, there were 3,755 recorded violations in Kyrgyzstan during the first nine months of 2025, resulting in damage to the state amounting to 102.85 million soms.

The structure of the damage across various sectors is as follows:
For 3,033 materials, 72.77 million soms were recovered.
Comparing this to the same period in 2024 shows that the number of violations increased by 2,015 cases, and the amount of damage rose by 49.19 million soms.
Furthermore, the results of environmental monitoring indicate a significant increase in activity: in 2024, for the same period, 1,488 samples were collected and 11,240 laboratory studies were conducted, while in 2025, these figures rose to 3,440 samples and 19,431 studies. Thus, the volume of sampling increased by 131%, and the number of studies increased by 73%.

As part of the modernization of the control system, a modern environmental monitoring laboratory is being built in Bishkek. All necessary legal and technical documents have already been prepared, and the land plot has been allocated, which will improve the quality of research and enhance the effectiveness of supervision, the ministry reported.
