From January to September 2025, Kyrgyzstan received 3 billion 999.2 million soms (approximately $45.8 million) from the registration of motor vehicles, according to information provided by the Ministry of Finance.

Compared to the same period in 2024, revenues from vehicle registration increased by 2 billion 394.9 million soms, which represents a 2.5-fold growth.

It is worth noting that during the ten months of 2024, revenues from the collection of registration fees for motor vehicles decreased. This was due to the implementation of new rules for calculating the recycling fee on vehicles imported from EAEU countries in Russia. Experts from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development predicted that this change would affect Kyrgyzstan's budget.
