The authorities of Kyrgyzstan want to increase healthcare spending

In 2026, the authorities of the republic plan to significantly increase spending on healthcare. This information is contained in the Civil Budget of Kyrgyzstan for 2026, which was presented by the Ministry of Finance.

It is planned to allocate 54 billion 693.6 million soms for these needs, which is 12 billion 820.5 million soms more compared to the approved budget for 2025.

Of this amount, 49 billion 598.7 million soms will be directed towards state investments, including 2 billion 588 million soms and 2 billion 506.9 million soms from special accounts.

Thus, healthcare expenditures will account for 8.6% of the total republican budget (taking into account financial assets) and 2.6% of GDP in 2026. At the same time, the Ministry of Health is allocated 40 billion 775.5 million soms, of which about 60-70% is planned to be allocated for the salaries of employees in this sector.
