The supply of solid waste to the new waste processing plant has begun in Bishkek

The first trial batch of solid household waste (SHW) has been delivered to the new waste processing plant in Bishkek. High-ranking officials participated in this event, including the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meder Mashiev, and the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev. The press service of the municipality reported this event.
As part of the pilot project, 17 units of specialized equipment made one trip each, transporting a total of 126 tons of waste. After one thousand tons of waste is collected, the disposal process aimed at electricity production will begin.

Mayor Aibek Junushaliev also visited the site and got acquainted with the stages of construction and commissioning work. Currently, the plant is in the final stages of construction, and its opening is scheduled for December 26, 2025.

The project is being implemented under an agreement signed by the mayor of Bishkek and the general director of Junxin Company in November 2023.
We remind you that on March 29, 2024, a "time capsule" was laid at the construction site, with the participation of the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investment project was approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 113 dated March 28, 2024. The total investment amount is 95 million dollars.
