The competition includes two nominations: "Cleanest City" and "Cleanest Rural Area."
The following criteria are set for selecting the winners:
— active participation of various segments of society in the ecological action (residents, volunteers, businesses, and others);
— total cleaned area, including mountainous zones, glaciers, green spaces, tourist sites, public places, and coastal areas;
— adherence to the principles of waste separation (more than three categories);
— recycling of collected waste (plastic, metal, glass, paper);
— availability of informational materials promoting cleanliness (billboards, stands, LED screens, including materials on plastic bans and bins for waste separation);
— conducting educational and informational campaigns (in schools, kindergartens, and other educational institutions);
— implementation of local projects to improve waste management with the involvement of grants and international donors;
— mass tree planting (considering the survival rate);
— presence of a model landfill for solid household waste (PHD, transformation, fencing, equipment);
— presence or implementation of model recycling enterprises in the region.
All results must be supported by photo and video materials, as well as documents that will be verified by ministry staff on-site.
The main prizes of the competition:
- 1st place — garbage truck (HOWO);
- 2nd place — sorting line.
